INCREASING TORAH LEARNING
Ahavas Torah helps yeshivah bochurs increase the quality and quantity of their torah learning by:
Giving bochurim review sheets that break up the gemara into different sections.
Encouraging bochurim to review each section with their chavrusahs until they knows it well.
(Chavrusahs are composed of a younger and older bochur.)
Administering tests to bochurim on the gemara section they have studied.
DIVISION 1 KOLLEL BEIN HASEDARIM
Each member learns at least 2 hours during bein hasedarim.
The Kollel is open to bochurim and avrechim from the yeshivah. We have branches at Torah Ore and Beis Yisroel in Jerusalem.
The bochur takes a test on the Gemara he learned during the week.
The stipend for a month is $120.
DIVISION 2 KOLLEL AHAVAS TORAH
The younger members of the Kollel are encouraged to write summaries of the Gemara with their older chavrusah before taking a test on that Gemara.
Members of the Kollel are encouraged to learn for 3-4 hours a week.
The stipend varies from apx. $150-$200 depending on how many hours the bochur learned.
